Position Summary

The Warehouse Assistant / Packer will support daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, inventory handling, loading, unloading, stock management, and general warehouse duties.

This role requires attention to detail, physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

 

 

Successful candidates will work closely with warehouse supervisors, logistics coordinators, forklift operators, and inventory teams to ensure smooth operational workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Picking and Packing

Pick products according to customer orders and packing lists.

 

 

Verify item codes, quantities, and descriptions.

Ensure accurate order fulfillment.

Pack products according to company standards.

Label packages correctly before shipment.

Prepare orders for delivery and distribution.

Organize completed orders for dispatch.

Perform final quality checks before packing.

Maintain packing accuracy and productivity targets.

 

 

Loading and Unloading

Assist in loading goods onto delivery vehicles.

Unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently.

Move inventory between warehouse locations.

Handle cartons, pallets, and packaged goods.

Support receiving teams during delivery arrivals.

Ensure products are transferred without damage.

Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures.

 

 

Inventory Management

Conduct stock counting activities.

Update inventory records when required.

Support cycle counting and stock audits.

Identify inventory discrepancies.

 

 

Assist in stock replenishment.

Organize inventory according to warehouse layouts.

Monitor stock movement and storage conditions.

Receiving and Inspection

Receive incoming deliveries from suppliers.

Verify shipment quantities against documentation.

 

 

Inspect goods for damage or defects.

Report discrepancies to supervisors.

Process receiving documentation accurately.

Assist with inventory registration procedures.

Warehouse Organization

Maintain cleanliness throughout warehouse areas.

 

 

Ensure products are stored properly.

Organize shelves, racks, and storage locations.

Keep workstations clean and efficient.

Support warehouse optimization projects.

Follow housekeeping procedures.

 

 

Operational Support

Assist with special warehouse projects.

Support seasonal inventory activities.

Participate in stock-taking exercises.

Handle ad-hoc warehouse assignments.

Assist supervisors with operational requirements.

Provide support during peak business periods.

Daily Duties

A typical workday may include:

Reporting to the warehouse supervisor.

Reviewing daily work assignments.
