Key Responsibilities

The Fruit Picker and Packer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:

Fruit Selection and Sorting

Inspect fresh fruits upon arrival.

Identify fruits that meet quality standards.

Remove damaged, bruised, overripe, or spoiled products.

Sort fruits according to size, color, variety, and quality requirements.

Ensure only approved products proceed to packing stages.

Follow company guidelines for grading fresh produce.

Packing Operations

Pack fruits into boxes, cartons, trays, or containers.

 

Ensure products are packed securely to prevent damage during transportation.

Apply protective packaging materials when required.

Verify packaging quantities according to customer specifications.

Maintain packing accuracy and efficiency.

Label packages correctly before dispatch.

Quality Control

Conduct routine visual inspections.

Monitor product freshness and appearance.

Report quality concerns to supervisors immediately.

 

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Warehouse Support

Organize products within designated storage areas.

 

Move cartons and containers safely.

Labeling and Documentation

Attach labels accurately.

Daily Duties

A typical workday may include:

Reporting to the supervisor at the start of the shift.

Attending a daily briefing.

Receiving fresh fruit shipments.

Applying labels and verifying packaging details.

Conducting quality checks throughout the process.

Cleaning workstations and equipment.
