POSITION DETAILS

Job Title: Retail Assistant / Cashier (Full-Time)

Monthly Salary: SGD 1,800 – SGD 2,700

Work Schedule: 6 Days Per Week

Shift Arrangement: Rotating Shifts Available

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Retail Assistant / Cashier, your primary responsibilities will include:

Customer Service

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Assist customers with product inquiries.

Help customers locate products within the store.

Provide excellent customer service at all times.

 

 

Resolve minor customer concerns politely and professionally.

Ensure customers enjoy a positive shopping experience.

Cashier Operations

Operate cashier and Point-of-Sale (POS) systems accurately.

Process cash, debit card, credit card, and digital payments.

Handle transactions efficiently.

Issue receipts to customers.

Manage cash float and cash balancing procedures.

 

 

Follow company policies regarding payment processing.

Stock Replenishment

Refill shelves and display racks.

Ensure products are properly organized and displayed.

Rotate stock according to company guidelines.

Monitor product expiry dates.

Remove expired or damaged products from shelves.

 

 

Maintain sufficient stock availability.

Inventory Management

Receive deliveries from suppliers.

Verify quantities and product conditions.

Assist in inventory counting exercises.

Organize products in storage areas.

Report stock shortages to supervisors.

Maintain accurate inventory records.

Store Maintenance

Keep the store clean and organized.

Maintain cleanliness of shelves and display areas.

Ensure floor areas are safe and hazard-free.

Assist with sanitation procedures.

Follow workplace safety standards.

Support general housekeeping activities.

Daily Store Operations

Support store opening and closing procedures.

Assist supervisors with operational tasks.

Participate in promotional activities.

Help maintain visual merchandising standards.

Work closely with team members to achieve store goals.

Follow company operational procedures.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

WORKING HOURS

Employees may be assigned to rotating shifts, including:

Morning Shift

Approximately 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Afternoon Shift

Approximately 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Night Shift

Approximately 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Actual schedules may vary depending on operational requirements and outlet location.
